Sketchin and sketching for school. I'm making collages with old diary entries and photo's of when I was little :)

We also drew and painted. We have a model and we had to make quick sketches for 2 hours and then we had 2 hours time to make 2 big studies. Mine turned out pretty well I think :)

After school we went to eat in a really nice and cosy restaurant :)

On new years eve Thomas and I were just looking for a normal bar to have a drink, but we couldn't find one. All the bars were closed or there were private parties you had to pay for - so we just drove around for an hour or so and enjoyed the fireworks :) It was nice sitting in the car celebrating the new year with him :) Eventually, we found a bar and had something to drink and then we went home.

What did you do?

Wednesday we went to eat something with friends of his parents. They cook really well!
I also got my new lens :D YAY :D

I know it's a little late, but Merry Christmas everyone!
I had a great time with my family and boyfriend :)
We celebrated Christmas at my mom's and there was too much food!

My boyfriend's coming over at our place this year and that is really nice because I love to celebrate christmas with my parents and my grandparents and I just love he can enjoy it too ^^

Tomorrow's my last exam and I'm going to see a friend afterwards.

I've missed her so much and I'm really happy we can see each other again tomorrow :)

She is one of my best friends and I know I can count on her.

My exams start on monday, but that's okay :)
I'm repeating my last year of high school and I've seen everything already.
Which means: MORE TIME TO BLOG!

I still have some work I have to finish for my art classes, but that's not such a big problem :)

I'm getting so tired of the weather :(
Normally I have no problems standing up in the morning, but now I just can't get out of bed.
The darkness is very depressing and I feel tired all day long.
I must admit I like Christmas and all, but I sure wish the winter's over soon...

I've been away for awhile. I had and have so much to do for school...

I hate that I couldn't blog, and I hope I'll have time again soon.

I've been taking pictures of numbers (house numbers, numbers from clocks, ...) for the calendar I'm going to make. I hope it turns out well :)

Last night I went to a concert and I really enjoyed it ^^. It was pretty late and now I'm still half asleep.

In the mornings it's so dark :(

It was a wonderful evening!

We went on a halloween march, which I unfortunately have no pictures of... It was just too dark...

Afterwards, we went home and I made spaghetti :) I think it turned out pretty well.

I made huge halloween brownie with blue marzipan on top and cupcakes with chocolate drops in it ^_^

We watched movies the whole night and I fell asleep at 5. Vincent fell asleep earlier as you can see :P He fell asleep at 12 I think. We tried to wake him up, but he didn't move.

Anyways, it was really great and I definitely want to do it over again :)

Tomorrow, when I was walking to the bus stop, I had to cross the street. The problem is, the light was green for me, but also for some cars. So when I crossed the street, the drivers where sort of angry at me. But it wasn't my fault... When I finally reached the other end of the street, I fell and hurt my leg. It was better when I was at school and everything went pretty well, but when I went to get some coffee I tripped and twisted my ankle and I heard it crack... My dad had to pick me up and take me to the hospital. My ankle isn't broken, but a ligament teared. my foot is now covered in plaster and I hate walking on crutches :(

As you might have noticed: I love Disney movies ^^
One of the movies I didn't see yet was Tangled and highly recommended by Nenehfer from http://renalapaisano.blogspot.com, I finally watched it with my boyfriend ^^
I must admit is is a GREAT movie ! :D
Flynn Rider (his real name is Eugene Fitzherbert) is such a funny character :D
I've never really liked male characters in Disney movies. I mean... I never thought of them as handsome...
It's better now ^^
Rapunzel's hair is really cool and it's a funny and romantic movie at the same time. I just don't like the moment her hair is cut off and it turns brown... I don't like the haircut...
Oh well.

Today wasn't the best

Today wasn't my best day.

I'm just feeling a bit down and I don't know why.

At least the sun is shining for a change :) The sun cheers me up a little bit ^^

School was okay... It was a little boring and we had a test, but it was alright.

I really need a hug. I am so happy I'm seeing my boyfriend this evening. We're just gonna drink something. I love talking to him. About everything.

Such a boring day...

Weekend's over, school again... I hate mondays. We started the day with 2 hours gym (I really hate gym...)
We played volleyball and basketball. I really can't play volleyball. I suck at it.
I wish we could play table tennis... or badminton... that, I do like ^^
Anyways. The afternoon wasn't as bad, but really boring. Normally we have 4 hours arts and 4 hours theory, but since our schedule changed we have only theory on mondays :( (math, Dutch, French, Religion, ...) Oh well.
Tomorrow we have 4 hours art and 4 hours figure-drawing :)
I'm already looking forward to it ^^

Alice in Wonderland Etchings

I made these etchings for school last year. Our theme was "contrast" and as contrast I picked "Dream vs. Reality.

I've read a book about Alice that's a whole lot different from the original story.

The name of the book is: Princess Alyss of Wonderland. It's a great story :)

In this book Alice is no ordinary girl, but a princess who lives in Wonderland and ends up in London. She has to find her way back to Wonderland.

I made my own drawings and wrote my own "poems" and combined them :)

Nita's Novelty Nook: A book is never written, only re-written

I love sleeping, and especially the dreaming part of it. Seeing how my whole mind makes up something that doesn’t make sense at all is just wonderful. I sometimes am really aware I’m dreaming and I try to think how everything feels so logic. In my dreams I can explain everything, last time I checked. But when I wake up, my logic is gone.

Keeping the dream however, is a lot harder. When I was young, I wanted to be a writer. I made small books from pieces of paper with stories that made no sense at all too. Later, I grew out of it.
When starting to take interest in Japan, and discovering the world of fan fiction, I tried again. When I read those pages now, I ask myself “What the hell was I thinking?” But the dream of being a writer is a lot further away now.

Thinking of a storyline that’s so unique, it’s hard. I usually write love-related things. Cinderella-like, only without the stepmom or stepsisters.

The problem of a pure love story is the fact that it always ends bad. Take Romeo and Juliet for example. A story that evolves about love solely has a bad ending, and I’m quite the kind of person that gets attached to her characters. Also, my writing isn’t good enough yet either. I want to improve, and improve. But I’m not the type of person to read books. Therefore it’s harder for me to get to learn some new words, techniques, and all that stuff.

Maybe a book written by myself will ever pass by my life, but at least I can keep holding to the hobby, my time of recreation and inspiration. My moment of Daydream.

Watching Disney movies together is awesome

Yesterday I went to a street art festival with my dad, my brother and my boyfriend. We visited an exposition and I bought a wonderful print which you'll see in a later post :)

It was really nice and we met great people.

When we got home, we watched The Little Mermaid. It's such a great movie ^^ I love it

I think the witch is really scary...

Today we watched two other Disney movies: Oliver and Company and The Lion King.

The little cat looks so cute and it's so funny when he looks mad. Hihi <3

It's been so long since I've seen this movie ^^

I think the Lion King is one of Disney's best movies. I just love the story and the characters ^^

It's so sad when Mustafa dies :( I always cry at that part...

I really had the most wonderful friday and saturday with my boyfriend and I hope you're all enjoying your weekend!

I am sick. Really sick. My head hurts, my throat hurts and I cough all the time.
I feel lifeless. I hate this feeling.
I hate the fact that I wake up all the time at night and that I'm not able to fall asleep again.

Nita's Novelty Nook: The Perfume Collection

I love perfume. About half a year ago, I started to collect perfumes. I just wanted to collect something. Most people collect something, and I don’t. So, in the end, it became an expensive collection. So I started off with some cheap perfumes, which I never use. Big mistake ofcourse. Now I only collect the ‘real’ perfumes. So here’s my collection.

Nita's Novelty Nook: September 17th

Today it’s September 17th. To me, this number 17 is something special. Now why would that be? Exactly one month ago, I had a gastric bypass operation. One month after the operation, it feels like a good time to remember that day.

August 17^th after waking up for the as-far-as-i-remember first time -
“Oh god”. I had no idea where I was lying, but I noticed I was lying back in my own bed. As far as I remembered, I was lying on the operation table right before I fell asleep. And then it comes to your mind “Now there really is no turning back. It’s been done.”
It doesn’t happen often in life that you encounter that one moment you know your life’s going to change, just within that short time of a few hours. I was alone on intensive care. I looked around. I felt like sleeping again, keeping my eyes open was just too much to ask. I remembered that the doctor said that normally the first time you wake up, the doctor, the psychologist and the dietician would come to visit you. But most people would forget that moment. So now I’m wondering whether they really came to visit me, and I really forgot, or that was the first time I woke up. I probably will never get the answer to that.
Yeah, it sure did hurt. But since I was more focused on sleeping, I didn’t really mind the pain. When my mom came to visit me, I only uttered a few words. I was too weak and too sleepy to talk. So she just stood there, watching me for half an hour, mostly with my eyes closed. She often remembers that moment.
“The way you were lying there, those eyes…” I must’ve looked really bad.
The most awkward thing about it, was the fact that lying there seemed so normal. This was my first time in the hospital ever. Yet, it felt like I’ve been in the hospital before. Maybe, in my previous life. I’m still trying to figure that one out.

Now, one month later, I feel fine. I expected it to be much worse, since people always told me “Don’t underestimate it! You’re going to suffer like hell…” But I felt it was quite okay. I recovered quickly, and Monday I’ll be going to school again! I feel great haha. Even though I’m not in college yet, I was able to start later too! For once, my brothers and sister couldn’t laugh about it like: “haha, I’m still in vacation and you’re noooot!” Altogether, I managed to fulfill 2 dreams in just one vacation. How awesome is that?

Today was so boring... We had 2 hours French, 2 hours math and then 4 hours art history. It's not that I don't like art history, but normally we go on lots of trips and visit museums all the time. Today we just sat in class. For 4 hours. I sorta fell asleep... I was so happy when the teacher said we could go home earlier! Till I sat on the bus... I was going to the pub my parents were waiting, and it takes about 15 minutes max to get there by bus, but it took 1 hour. Stupid traffic.

First Day of School

Today school started again. I was too early. I didn't know we had to be there at 9.30, so I was there at 8.15. Oh well, it didn't really matter :)
It was a pretty good day, but I forgot my lunch today... I only ate one sandwich in the morning and I had no money to buy some food, so I had to wait till the evening.
Each year we get a theme to work with. This time it's "time". ^^ I like it :)

We had such a great time in Disneyland ^^

I loved it!

We really liked the pirate boats and the Rock'n'Rollercoaster starring Aerosmith!

We did that 10 times or something :)

Although my wallet was stolen, I had a great time (my wallet wasn't stolen in Disneyland, but the day before in a shopping mall.)

In the evening we watched the Disney Parade. It was truly magical! Big wagons full of lamps and classic Disneysongs! And we saw Mickey Mouse! :D Afterwards there was a beautiful firework behind the

castle. It was so nice ~

Oh and I got the cutest stuffed animal from Thomas (it's the dog from The Nightmare Before Christmas ^^)
I didn't like going home, but fortunately I could stay with Thomas for a few more days.
Tomorrow school begins... I'm really gonna miss vacation... and Thomas :(

France - Day 6 & 7: Our Last Days!

We didn't really do much. It were our last 2 days before going to Disneyworld :)

I ate some DELICIOUS lasagna (I <3 Lasagna)

We went home pretty late, but I slept well ^^

France - Day 4 & 5: Relax Day at the House and our trip to Les Beaux

We went to a small historical town. It's a very touristic place, but really nice :)

France - Day 3: Being Lazy & Trip to Silvacane

It was another lazy and warm day, but we really enjoyed our trip to the abbey of Silvacane.

The windows inside the church are so pretty !

After the visit we went to some little villages and drank something ^_^

The houses there are cute! Living in the south of France must be amazing.

At the end of the day we watched some amazing firework <3

France - Day 2: Chillin' & Trip to Lourmarin

Another nice and hot day. We started with a small French breakfast, a baguette and some local cheese combined a good cup of coffee to get ready for the day.
After a quick dive in the pool to cool ourselves off we went to the nearby town of Lourmarin, a little town with some very nice shops and a cute little market. I bought some nice things I will show you in a later post ^^.

France - Day 1: On The Road

All our bags were packed and we're ready to go. Rise and shine at 04:15 AM and on the road at 04:50.

It was a very long drive ahead of us but I had confidence in the driving capabilities of my boyfriend. To save some of our vacation money we took the long way so we left some hours before the rest of my family.

Hoping for better weather on our holiday we didn't bother packing much against the cold we had grown tired of in Belgium. That was a brilliant move! In our old Mazda demio there is no AC and the heat was on for the whole 1090 kilometers long trip.

Traveling between the forests of the Ardennes and the French countryside we made our way to the verge of the Luberon Mountains. The trip was an amazing experience and we had lots of fun in the car but we were happy to arrive in Lauris, the precious little town where we're staying.

After staying in the car for hours we were so damn happy to arrive and to top it all off we were the first ones there, so we sat down on a little terrace where we drank a well-earned beverage.

Yesterday I organized a mini girls night with one of my best friends ! It was nice :D
I cooked spaghetti and I was really proud my sauce turned out so well ^^
We watched movies the whole evening.
We saw Shaun of the Dead (so damn funny), Mean Girls 2 (girl movie!) and Penny Dreadful.
Normally, I'm not afraid while watching scary movies, but this movie really freaked my out. The first time I saw it, I was alone in my room with the lights out and I was so scared I had to turn my lights on.
My friend wasn't really afraid, but I think that's because she wasn't alone :D Or maybe I'm just a coward...
Anyway, we had a really great evening ^_^

This dreamjournal I made myself ^^

It was a project for school. Our yeartheme was contrast and I picked Dream vs. Reality.

I made 2 different dream journals, 1 for adults and 1 for kids.

I made the covers myself and I sew "Dream Journal" on it (and a few drawings)

In the back of the book is a little envelope (with the moon sewing)

The left pages (with the large borders) I designed for making collages of your dreams or just for drawing them. On the right page you can write your dreams and underneath you can analyze them.

The last part of the book is sort of a dictionary. for example: when you dream of a bird, you can look up what the bird means in your dream.

In the dream journal for kids there is a tutorial for making dreamcatchers instead of the little dictionary.

Oh I should start writing in it ^^

Wow okay... Headache.
It's much too early.
Yesterday me and my boyfriend painted my mothers living room. We started at 11 and finished the job at 04.30.
I.am.dead.
This is the result:

The green wall is really flashy and the other wall is sort of beige/grey... It's really nice and it really brightens up the room.

I think we did a great job ^^

Oh, how I loved to see them play together.
Mario, our cat, grew up with our chicken Princess Peach. They were the best friends ever.
It may look like Mario wanted to eat Princess Peach, but they were just playing :)
Unfortunately Princess Peach died about a year ago...
I'm glad Mario is still with us :)

I am still so tired. I didn't sleep well and it's raining. I really feel like staying in bed all day watching movies or something.
I wanted to go out today to take pretty pictures but the weather ruined it again.

Lokerse Feesten!

Sunday I went to the Lokerse Feesten ^^ It's a small festival here in Belgium.
I had a great time with my boyfriend :)
we saw Channel Zero, Dream Theater and Soulfly. They were really good !
Unfortunately I have no photo's because both my camera and phone batteries were dead :(
But oh well, I really enjoyed the music and the company ^^

Yay! No more working!
I must admit working was nice and I'm very happy with the money I got, but after a month I really wanted to enjoy my holiday.
The 13th of August we're going to France (my mom, my dad, my brother, my boyfriend and I)
The first week me and my boyfriend are staying with my parents and the second week we're hopefully going to DisneyWorld ^^
I'm already looking forward to the sun, the swimming and all the lovely moments we're gonna spend together !

Two Days To Go!

It was so busy yesterday evening!
I was really happy to get home and read a little bit.
I'm currently reading the Wicked Lovely Series by Melissa Marr.
Tomorrow and friday are the last 2 days I have to work ^^ Yay !!!

I"m currently reading Radiant Shadows, her 4th book.

The books are young adult/urban fantasy novels.

The books tell the story of a girl names Aislinn, who has the power to see faeries.

I think it's very well written and I'd recommend the books to everyone !
